madmax Posted November 16, 2003 Report Posted November 16, 2003 I've notice on my '88 2.8 GP that when I check the transmission fluid, there are tiny "air bubbles" on the fluid. Is this normal?? The fluid looks and feels normal no signs of overheating. The fluid and filter was changed about a year ago. Thanks for your help. Max Quote
Robby1870 Posted November 16, 2003 Report Posted November 16, 2003 If you check it while its running, thats normal Quote
PaPaPooh Posted November 16, 2003 Report Posted November 16, 2003 excessive air bubbles means the tranny is over full i wouldn't worry it is a small amount air ration leads to cavataion then leads to pump failier but it has to cavatate for a good 10 mins before anything bad happens Quote
