Alright, I realize there 100s of threads on top-swapping. I haven't found one that has been able to give me a FULL and COMPLETE parts list. So if you guys could comment anything I'm missing, I'd really appreciate it... I will update this list as I read through the comments. Please be a SPECIFIC as possible (not just "2 pulleys").

So far I've got:

Your coil pack bracket is the same between L36 and L67

You'll need the L67 AC Compressor bracket. Ask me how I know:biggrin:.

You'll need to either splice the 3 wires of the current map sensor harness into a connector matching the L67 MAP. Otherwise you'll have to buy the adapter from ZZP or somewhere.

You'll need the wiring kit from ZZP if you want to run the BBV solenoid to the PCM.

Lastly, since you'll have the heads opened up, it wouldn't hurt to put new valve stem seals in. I did for peace of mind since the top-end gasket set comes with them.

Only for a H body. IIRC L36 and L67 are same for W body.

I made my own MAP adapter harness. the one from Casper's I had was stupid and 3 inches where I had to relocate it to back of the engine from front.

Exhaust manifold gaskets may be optional, but if your L67 head donor came with a different flange than your car you'll need to put your L36 manifold back on it to connect to it.

Wiggle the supercharger around a little bit and look at the snout, see if it's been replaced. If it hasn't it's not a bad idea, or at least expect to do a coupler (cheap @ RockAuto)

New MAP sensor plug, you can splice it to the wires from the old one.

Boost solenoid plug, and enough wire to run it from Injector #5 region to the PCM. There are plenty of PCM pinouts for the 7797 PCM, one wire will go to the PCM, the other to Ignition power and there are plenty of power wires by the solenoid to pull power from.

There were a couple different Alternator wiring layouts, grab the L67 Alternator and look up the host and donor vehicle prints for the charging system. If they are both the same you have a spare Alt, if not you'll need to run the L67 one that is switched out of your new PCM. I ran into this when I was playing with different PCM's from the wrecking yard.

PCM needs re-programmed for your gears/tires and anything else that's changing. I'm pretty sure 2002 was still Passkey II, might want to know before you get too far or plan on having antitheft flashed out of the PCM.

the only difference in heads is the existence of fuel injector ports in the heads vs in the l36 lower intake

Alternator mounting should be the same.

As for the PCM, rescale the map for 2bar, and import spark/fuel tables from a GTP or GS or whatever S/C car. Or get a PCM from a 2002 GTP, update it with your vin, and redo the gearing for your 3.29s (likely)

I've never seen a N/A PCM that had the Supercharger option, but every Gen II PCM I've seen was basically the same pinout, barring transmission type, and boost solenoid. We should consider a thread where we can post calibration files and the subtle differences between them, than we'd all have access to a repository of tunes. One problem I ran into by using the PCM and cal out of a 97 GTP in the Regal was the speedo, HPTuners had the speed dead on with my GPS, but the speedo was off by a percentage, and I eventually found a speed output scaler field, plugged in the number from my old N/A PCM and all good. The Cal that had charging issues was a Riviera I believe, could have been a PAU, I have several PCMs, lol, the magic of Pull-A-Part, $29 Computers.

I used a 99 gtp pcm

You know it's a hell of a lot simpler to do front & rear seals, and oil pan gasket with the engine out, I did. And the CKP is easier too, and a common problem. The gasket set I got was a "Conversion" set.
