drifty
So I know I need new rear struts because I can hear those SOBs popping in the back but I doubt it will help the sag right? I did want to lower the car and it actually sits right about where I'd like in the rear. So the question is: keep the saggy mono leaf or replace with a proper custom. Are those ones in Canada still available?

pitzel
Before you run out and replace struts, check the ends of the monoleaf for the rubber pads that are supposed to insulate the monoleaf. Sometimes the rubber pads disappear or get worn away. That's what happened to mine, and it made a bunch of noise which didn't go away with a full strut change, and only went away by installing an after-market replacement pad. Of course, if you need struts, you need struts, but that might not fix the noise problem if you're experiencing monoleaf tip rub.
