j_mezz Posted April 11, 2014 Report Posted April 11, 2014 Almost done with the 'restoration' of my 88 cutlass but I'm stuck on one problem with the electric side-view mirrors. I can't adjust either mirror down. My first thought was a bad switch but I've tried a couple and they all behave the same way so I'm thinking it's a loose wire\connector somewhere. Anyone have a similar issue or pinouts of the switch? I tried to pin out the switch with an ohmmeter but I wasn't seeing continuity anywhere that reflected switches being pressed...maybe I just have several bad switches? Thanks! Quote
j_mezz Posted April 13, 2014 Author Report Posted April 13, 2014 Bump...no one, huh? Is it even possible that it's wiring or does it Have to be the switch(es) (no other way to have both sides fail the same way)? Is there a remote mirror module somewhere? Quote
l67ss Posted April 13, 2014 Report Posted April 13, 2014 Have you tried testing mirrors on a bat? Would guess wiring or a fuse. Switch woulda been my first guess. Last yr my pass side window wouldnt roll because of a bad driver side switch lol Quote
