bryanjoseph
Since the temperature has dipped below freezing where I am, my DOHC hasn't been starting properly. What happens is, I turn the key and nothing happens; you can't even hear it trying to tick over. After turning the key and holding it for a few seconds, repeatedly, it just fires right up. It is strange how it stays completely silent, and usually on about the fourth turn of the key it roars to life with no trouble at all. Any ideas? 89oldscutlass
Sounds like a weak battery or the starter going bad.
Baddflash
I'd say the starter solenoid.
Redfox340
I'd say the starter solenoid. I'm with Baddflash. If you have good power, the starter is starting to go. - Erik
GP1138
If you have good power, the starter is starting to go. - Erik I thought that was the point of a starter. You wouldn't "go" without one.. *Chief Wiggum laugh*
