bogging motor

Well, the LQ1 is having pms or something. I hit the gas to say half throttle, the rpms increase to a grand more than what they were at before and then bounce down 500rpms, the whole car feels like the brakes are on, then while still holding the pedal the rpms increase 500rpms then repeat. I do get a SES everyonce in a while when this happens and I mean to go to Auto Zone tomorrow on my way to work, but if anyone knows what may be causing this let me know. Thanks.

It is kind of hard to explain. I will get the code soon and mention what it is when i get off work tonite. It is more of a motor problem or atleast thats what it sounds like. I turned the radio off to listen and when the rpms drop off quickly when my foot is on the gas, it sounds like the engine is still sucking in air. Then again it may be a tranny problem but it sounds too much to be like the engine is acting up. Ill get teh code and let ya no.

i have experienced that before but never found an exact cuprate of it.

run the car and at idle it will drop to 500rpms barly running hit the gass almost floods it, then it would quit running after trying to run for a wile. this was back in the first week of july around july 3rd i think. i had alot of things done the month befor timing full tuneup new belts o2 sensor is good all sensors are good. just a freak thing.

hasnt done it sence.

probably a real airhead question lol but,

this could be related. but do our cars have a choke, or exaust choke?

I dont know about chokes i dont think so.

Here are my codes that i got from auto zone. Some one explain what they mean please. Oh, and i forgot to clear the computer after i replaced my intake gaskets so i think one or two of these where on there before the gaskets went on.

P1650: PSP switch out of self test range

P0117: The PCM has determined that the input from the engine coolant temp sensor is lower than expected for the current engine operating conditions. My friend did break the plastic on the sensor, but we duct taped the bitch on till we couldnt pull it off. I dont know if that is causing this or not. The reason we duct tapped it back on because it was 12am and no auto parts store were open. It couldnt wait for the next day because i had to work in the am and wouldnt have had time to finish it by myself before work.

P1640: Powetrain DTC's available in another module

P0131: The PCm has determined that the input voltage from the O2 sensor 1 in bank 1 is too low for current operating conditions. Then it goes on explaining where O2 sensors number 1 2 and 3 are. As far as I know, I only have one. This is the code that i suspect as being there before i did the intake gaskets.
