Ok so i got the 94 z34 to idle at a normal rpm, now just gotta figure out why when it cold and first start it idles like it has VERY agressive cams and you can plainly smell its running way too rich but after it warms up for a few minutes she smooths out and idles just bellow 900rpmish, also have noticed that my 05 silverado 4wheel drive does far better on gas then this lumina z34?

There are about 73 and 1/2 things that can cause an erratic idle, without doing some sort of test that has been recommended we cannot give you useful info unless you want to pick over every single connector, ground, switch, sensor, etc etc. If that's the case it will take awhile and I'd advise you to get a service manual from a dealership which will have all this.

A rich smell could be coming from the rear evap canister, should be back around the fuel filler neck and it should be light and empty feeling, if its got liquid in it then replace it. Also maybe run some injector cleaner, might have build up.

Really should have just continued your previous thread as info there pertains to issues here.

while loping, what does vacuum look like? and when it isn't?

if you're able to get into the datastream, where is the IAC sitting at?

when it changes from lopey to normal, is it instant? takes a few seconds?
