MommyTaz022200
Well this time I have an antifreeze leak. It's coming out of the metal hose that hooks up to the heater core. Looks kinda like it rusted where the braket is welded to the hose. Where do I get one and how much are they? There's not even one 3.4 L engine in any yards around here to get one off of. Ribbie
Forget the metal hose. I would just run some rubber HEATER hose back to the eater core. GM has that problem on most cars. Good luck.
5speedz34
Yeah, those hoses are made of cheap pot metal, just replace it w/heater hose.
The Burning Rom
I dunno...I replaced mine with heater hose once. I never trusted it much, but never really got a chance to test it in the winter as I rolled the car before the next winter. I'd still replace it with a steel line from GM. I've done that on both my LE and TGP. They're not fun to put in, but I trust steel more than I trust rubber when it comes to running hot coolant through my engine bay. And they can't be too cheaply made if they've lasted for 10+ years in a snowbelt state that covers the roads in salt at the first sign of snow
91cutty
Those are a PITA to change! If I ever had to replace mine again I would go with some rubber hose... so much cheaper too.
