Rob95CS Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 Ok, so exhaust isn't my area and I have some questions I know some of you can answer. I recently found out my stock Cat is dying on my 3100. It's getting worse by the day. So I bought a Carsound high-flow Cat from Ebay (2.5") for just over $30.00. I'm wondering how much sound dampening the stock cat does, because I'm going to just hook this converter up to the stock exhaust for now. Is it going to sound loud? Also, my Thrush obsessed friend is going to buy me a Thrush turbo muffler. Anyone know what they sound like on a 3100 single exhaust? I don't care for LOUD exhaust really. I read up on the use of glasspacks as resonators to tone down the sound. How are they placed in relation to the Cat and muffler? (Do they go immediately after the Cat? Immediately before the muffler? In the middle? Does it matter!?) Thanks! -Rob- Quote
