Pitts
Title says it all. I've spent hours searching and I don't know how to lower the rear end while keeping it as stiff or making it stiffer. I have an SE which has struts (no springs), a fiberglass monoleaf spring, and a kinda weak sway bar. Anyone know of any hidden gems or tips I could use to lower my GP? I would like to lower it 2" (I can do the front no problem).
l67ss
Flex a form makes a lowering leaf spring iirc. Another option is rear coilovers theres a thread around here somewhere Title says it all. Pitts
I presume the rear coilovers from a later model GP (97-99) will bolt right in? Thanks, gonna check out their leaf spring. Edited January 15, 2014 by Pitts
l67ss
Youd have to redrill the strut towers for the gen 2 rear struts. What i meant wad an aftermarket style coilover conversion there a diy around here I presume the real coilovers from a later model GP (97-99) will bolt right in? Thanks, gonna check out their leaf spring.
Psych0matt
Check out my build thread, I'll find a link. I did complete coilovers all around. EDIT: Here it is http://www.w-body.com/showthread.php/49352-Suspension-overhaul-UPDATE-Parts-on!!!-PICS Edited January 15, 2014 by Psych0matt
Nas Escobar
I presume the rear coilovers from a later model GP (97-99) will bolt right in? Thanks, gonna check out their leaf spring. Nothing bolts in from the later cars... not even the Lumina and Monte Carlo. There is a way to "add" a spring to the rear coil and lower the car that way, but you really need to change the monoleaf. BTW you missed this. http://www.w-body.com/showthread.php/29285-How-to-lower-a-W-Body-%28-Gen-1-Gen-1-5-%29 It tells you more or less what you can do... ideas for you to look for. intern8tion9l
How did you search for hours with no results? This has been covered numerous times, and the sticky is right there. There were lowering setups in the for sale section pretty recently

There were lowering setups in the for sale section pretty recently I have searched. I've never been able to find how to lower a 1st gen W-Body until that sticky. Even before I posted this thread, I searched on the site and nothing was coming up for me.
