joey b
doesn't the fiero 5speed mate up too? Is that the 282?
Marcus18
the fiero getrag is different. the sfiter cables are backwards. they have to use a kit to get the grand prix trans to go in theirs. so you would have to do the same to get theirs to work in yours. marcus
Robby1870
282s were availabe from 88-89, IIRC. Thats for Grand Prixs and Cuttys

Vegeta
! do you know how rare that car is? Supposedly 109 made that year, and I have 1. I dont have a sunroof, and its silver with red leather int. Wow, I haven't seen another one at all, or mention of one. There was a 92 cutty owner with a 5 speed on GMF but thats the only other cutlass DOHC 5 speed I have heard of.

Guest TurboSedan
the Grand Prix could have the Getrag 282 in '88-'90. i had one from a '90 in my Cutlass, and now it has one from an '88 Grand Prix. the Cutlass could have come with the 282 also in those years i believe. i doubt the Regal came with a 5-speed, and *maybe* you could get one in a '90 Lumina....not sure tho. i just swapped the '88 282 in 2 weeks ago; i haven't driven it yet tho.....fixing two cars is too expensive! (i broke both exhaust bolts off in the manifold....d'oh!) joshua
