I was wondering would I be able to swap a turbo ecotec into my lumina?

I don't hate life but I want a change of engine choices don't get me wrong I like the 3800 but idk if my hood has clearance for a sc'd 3800

there are far more engine choices than the 3800. :lol:

 

factory engines that GM installed in 1/1.5 generation W-bodies:

2200

2.3Quad4(HO and LO)

2.5 iron duke

2.8

3.1

3.1 turbo

3.1SFI

3100

3.4DOHC

3800S1

3800S2

 

i think that is all of them.... this isn't even counting some of the simple swaps to other engines that also fit/work relatively easily.

You'd be crazy to go through all that time, money, effort, and enthusiasm just to end up with a four-popper.

You know they built 3.8 series 2/3 hybrids at the factory? 03 gps, 03-05 montes and impalas got them. They were a standard series 2 with series 3 heads. :)
