2000+ 3.8 high output alternator

I'm using a 2001 regal although bracket in my 3.8 swap. What would be a hy available high output alternator that'd bolt to it? Thanks.

Try looking up a 3800 Bonneville. Rich17 on here did that, but I can't remember what output it was. Was definitely higher than the factory one.

stock 92-99 H body alternator is 140 or 145 amp I think, I also think its a bolt on for w-bodys but I would not take that to the bank.

Thing is that I have to use 2000 or newer alternators, there is a bunch o 2000+ bonnes in the NY though

You SOB. I thought it was a Bonneville alternator, not 9C3

I think the Bonneville alternator IS the 9c3 one.

 

I have a spare 2000+ bonneville alternator, probably good still would have to dig it out. I'd sell super cheap.

Went to the jy today to check out the alternators. Foun o the 2000+ ended up being 125 amp on a park avenue(although on the other big cars they had 105 amp). Checked on the alternator on the engine im getting, was listed as possibly having either 102 or 125 amp alts. Said the 125 amp also came on pontiac montanas. How can i find out which one is on my engine?

IIRC the higher amp alt's have a different connector and have an external fan
