LUMINATOR
I've used this product in my gas tank before but never in my oil has any one used it in there oil? If so how long do you run it in for?
tornado_735
I've used it many, many times in both my gas and oil. I've never had an issue. I've dumped a quart in with my oil change, and run it 4000 miles. After I did it twice, I started to notice my engine oil staying cleaner looking for longer. Eventually extended my changes out to 6,000. MMO is great stuff.
Crazy K
I use transmission fluid for the exact same purpose.
tornado_735
I use transmission fluid for the exact same purpose. I have used transmission fluid in place of oil on my old Lumina Euro 3.4. It leaked oil like a sieve, and on occasion, I'd forget to buy a gallon (it leaked that bad), so I'd dump a quart of transmission fluid in. Never had a problem. Imp558
Tranny fluid cleans awesome but it's supposed tobe very bad to let it get hotter than normal. Something about the detergent gumming up I think it was. I run about 1/2 a quart occasionally.
LUMINATOR
So I would be fine putting in a quart of MMO in my oil and running it for 3000 miles?
