james125
Hello guys Im working on a 1994 buick regal with the 3800, Transmission operates fine if you ease into it but if you punch it it seams to jump into third and stay there unless you manually shift it. transmission has had a recent fluid change and has 230k miles on it any ideas what would be causing it not to downshift? rich_e777
I don't know a lot about the transmissions but have you checked all your connections? Not just to be connected but old corroded connection can cause a lot of problems. Also check any vacuum lines and your transmission modulator.
