crunkGP96
Hey guys, I need to replace the master cylinder in my 95 GTP as I ummm had a total brain fart and accidentally put the wrong fluid in and screwed it up myself. :sly: Brakes work normal for the most part but at times the brake pedal really sinks before it stops. I originally thought it was just the cap gasket since it was torn but I replaced it and bled the brakes and no go. Any idea how much to replace the whole thing? crunkGP96
I just saw that they have rebuild kits as well? Would that be a good way to go? Sent from my HTCEVODesign4G using Tapatalk
AL
What fluid did you put in?
crunkGP96
Power steering. It wasn't a whole lot before I realized it. Less than a quarter of the bottle. It was a few months ago so I'm almost pretty sure that little bit screwed up the inside of the cylinder slowly.. Sent from my HTCEVODesign4G using Tapatalk
redgrandprix
yea that will probably get worse over time as the fluid makes the gaskets in the master cylinder swell and eventually tear causing low pedal, a rebuild kit would probably work but your gonna obviously flush the system very thoroughly, what does the rebuild kit come with? edit: have you flushed all that fluid out completely? if not you should do so otherwise a master cylinder won't be your only problem Edited October 13, 2013 by redgrandprix

Yea that's exactly what it did to the gasket on the cap. It swelled up pretty bad so I replaced it. Im not sure what the kit comes with. I googled it and it came up Sent from my HTCEVODesign4G using Tapatalk
crunkGP96
I have not flushed it yet. I'm going to fix it this week and do everything at once. When I initially poured the ps fluid in there I took some of it out but obviously not enough. I'm a dumbass, I know :banghead: Sent from my HTCEVODesign4G using Tapatalk
crunkGP96
I need some help. I had the master cylinder replaced and the brakes were bled and it stops fine now but now my abs light is on. What gives? Is something else screwed up now? I should also mention that the system was flushed as well.
