96 GP Drivers information center schematics

I recently sold a 96 GP DIC to a member here and everything lights up and scrolls through the menus except the screen doesnt light up. I'm hoping I just need to resolder the connections, so I'l like to know what pins or circuits i need to plug into to make the screen light up, Thanks.

how much volts are running on the orange wire?

"fused battery feed".

 

i'd say anywhere from 12 to 14.4 volts would be a safe number.

do you have any schematics of the circuits or anything of the sort? I'm not exactly sure which feed would light up the screen or even the buttons for that matter.

internals? no, i don't think GM would ever release those, even to electronic repair shops.

I was afraid of that. What would be the best way to re solder or reflow the circuits then?

directed hot air would probably be best, but i do everything with a 45 watt iron, including the SMT components.

I pulled one out of a 97, and Alldata has it wrong, does anybody have a pinout for this guy?

 

 

This DIC is going to suck making it fit in the dash, if anybody has a smaller one for another car and would rather have this one I would be totally down with trading.

Now for a stupid-er than usual question. How do I get it to stop jumping automatically to the "Oil Life" reading and saying "LOW"?
