mediabandit Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 Hi guys. I have a 1991 Lumina Z34 and it's stalling out and dying at 3000 rpm while driving. I have replaced plugs, wires, coils packs, fuel filter and CAT. When it stalls it won't restart for awhile until it seems to cool down. Any idea what else it could be? I though maybe it was going into limp mode, but I'm not sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Quote
RobertISaar Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 runs indefinitely when under 3000? checked fuel pressure? Quote
White93z34 Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 did you replace the ignition control module (under the coils) when you did the coils? Quote
mediabandit Posted September 17, 2013 Author Report Posted September 17, 2013 (edited) Yes it will runs indefinitely at or under 3000rpm, both at idle and while driving. No issue with the fuel pressure either. I never thought of replacing the ICM when I replaced the coils. If that may be causing the issue I can pull the coils back off and replace it.
