1989 GP SE "barn find" grandma's garage really..

Just replaced my first "real"car that I had in high school! I've been looking for the same color and interior and low mile GP for about 5 years now. And I was lucky enough to purchase an 89 SE with 47,xxx miles and it was literally owned by a little old lady from Minnesota. It's pretty loaded, power seats, moon roof, navigation system(ha) everything works! I'm shocked! It did need a little cleaning, the drivers head rest was brownish(hairspray residue no doubt from beauty salon trips) No rust all original, even the mats are pristine (had rubber mats over carpeted ones) couple normal scratches and the front valence will need some paint. There's very little to do to it, other then keep it clean and drive it a bit. So I went out and bought an 89 TGP that needs some love just so I have a excuse to get out of the house and work on a car...

cost-$4500. Not a steal, but more then fair I think

-also came with pontiac remote locks and truck.

I only drive shoeless too..

I bought this 89 in 91 for $10,000. It had 10000 miles on and had been "converted" from an LE to and SE with the factory ground effects, duel exhaust and SE tail lights. Drove it til 96' and sold it with 115,xxx on the OD.

It had the 3.1 stock, a 6 disc alpine changer in the trunk(convienent)..

This car was my first real taste of freedom great time for a 19yr old.

You had a nice car for a 19yr old. Now it's a bunch of 19yr olds driving these cars into the ground.

She's dead. Her daughter owned for a bit and then sold it to the dealer I bought it from, knowing dealers I'm sure he hugged himself all the way to the bank...

Wow very clean indeed! Very nice find! So what are you going to do... sway the SE with all the TGP stuff or keep it that way?

Man that is SUPER nice. I'm jealous. I'd keep it as is and just enjoy!
