fyredaug
have many 96-04 running 3400sfis in my yard, even if they are a little higher flowrate, will they pop in and work? not looking to spend any money on this 91 GP SE
RobertISaar
long story short, you might get away with it, but i wouldn't be surprised if you set a code or two from being so rich. 3.1 calibration is expecting 16.7lb/hr injectors. 96-99 3400 = ~19.4lb/hr that's a difference of 16%, which is going to run you VERY close to the allowed O2 sensor correction limit. if you hit that, the ECM will ignore O2 sensor readings and run off of base fueling(meaning you'll probably be running at an AFR of ~12.7 at best). the money you save on injectors you'll lose in gas pretty quickly. fyredaug
damn, are the 2.8's the same? I could rip apart this 90 z24 I suppose
RobertISaar
all aluminum head 2.8 and 3.1s should have the same injectors. the only exceptions to this rule(that i know of) are the TGPs and should you run across one, the methanol capable luminas. everything else should be the same.
