LUMINATOR
I have a 90 Lumina with the 3.1 in it and when I step on the gas when the engine is cold it has somewhat of a dilemma/hesitation starting out. But once the car warms up it seems to go away. Could this be a sign of a bad IAC?
Garrett Powered
dou you mean bad IAC motor? the valve doesnt go bad usually just gets dirty. the motor and it's activity can be viewed on tunerpro datalogs. but the battery voltage, rpm and injector activity need to be up in the monitors for you to make any sense of the data. LUMINATOR
Ok I've been doing a little research and I've seen that guys clean the EGR passage from the throttle body to the EGR. It gets clogged up with carbon. But they were doing this on the newer 3.1's I have the older 3.1 multi-port. So I'm not sure if its the same or not. I might take my off my EGR and clean it with some throttle body cleaner and go from there.
Garrett Powered
EGR is exhaust. that will effect what your O2 sees, not meter air into your throttle body like the IAC
LUMINATOR
Would a loose exhaust clamp off the exhaust manifolds cause a rough idle?
