tgpguy21
I have a 1994 gp se, that has the b4u package on it. i want to take out the fog lights on the bottom and replace both of them with K&N cone filters that will run throught my stock air box. i already have it planned out on how to do it, but would anyone see a problem with me doing this. i have a plan on how to cover them when its raining so thats already taken care of. do you guys think this would be a pretty good idea for a cold air intake system???? any help would be much appreciated....... Rob95CS
Sounds like a great idea... Ram air would net you an easy 5+ HP. I really don't think rain would be a big problem either with this setup, because the tubes running from the filters are going to have to go UP from the fog light area to the intake box. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Correct me if I'm wrong. You're right that the water's less likely to get to the engine, but it could fuck up the two cone filters. What about puddles, tgpguy21? J
you guys keep sayin RAM AIR, it'd only be a open element filter, ram air doesn't really work until like 60 mph anyway. I'd be careful if i were you to do that kind of mod, the bottomes of the filters would be caked with mud, gravel. bugs. and if it does rain then the rain can still get in from the ground. just kep that in mind, good luck with it. joey b
run your car at high RPM and tell me how hard it pulls air. I'd do it anyway. The effects of ram air would be about nil though because of all the bends that would be needed. And remember how you clean a K&N. Water is going to wash the oil off of the filter.
