drivers side rear sitting lower than passenger

hi everyone I have a 94 prix with quite a stiff bumpy rear end. I've replaced the struts and also added the moog white pad to the monospring. my ride has gotten better but it's still stiff and the drivers side is still lower than the passengers. I'm pretty sure now I need to look at replacing the leaf spring itself but wanted to get a second opinion. thanks for any help

You're on the right track. You'll need to replace the spring itself. Not a terrible job, just a lot of wiggling the spring around and being careful to make sure to properly relieve the pressure.

Also, there's a post on here somewhere with the w-body spring rate codes as far as what's softer or stiffer. I think there's like 10 different springs used? Really any one of them should work, it may just ride more like a Regal, or more like a GTP.

Hi, I have to change the white pads on my 96 cuttlass supreme 3100 and possibly change the spring itself. Is there a special tool to be used for this?

I have a good used spring available if you need one.

I've done it without a tool, but I lowered the struts down much further than normal for the spring to slip in... done by unhooking the tops of the struts from the body.

Schurkey has how to make a spring compressor here if you have tools to do so. I made one out of thin quick strut scrap that we wad at work. I just had to add a piece of 1/8" to the piece that pushes on the spring. Lowes had 1/2" bolts that are threaded all the way.

I replaced mine with the rubber pads like what was OEM. Can't recall where I got them, either O'Reilly's or Advanced. Came with epoxy to stick them to the spring.
