95LQ1VERT Posted April 22, 2013 Author Report Posted April 22, 2013 purchased new coils from the junk yard and put in the one for cylinders three and six. misfire still present. then my cousin ran a compression check for the front bank, (i know i was told to do all 6 but he didnt have time at work) anyways #2 was 125psi, #4 was 145, and the bad cylinder #6 was.... also 145psi. so i dont have bad valves. i do remember when i was doing my head gaskets that the fuel injectors which i never removed off the fuel lines would have gasoline pooled up on all of them Quote
Galaxie500XL Posted April 22, 2013 Report Posted April 22, 2013 That acutally sounds like good news...if you've got squeeze, and you've got spark, that just leaves fuel. purchased new coils from the junk yard and put in the one for cylinders three and six. misfire still present. then my cousin ran a compression check for the front bank, (i know i was told to do all 6 but he didnt have time at work) anyways #2 was 125psi, #4 was 145, and the bad cylinder #6 was.... also 145psi. so i dont have bad valves. i do remember when i was doing my head gaskets that the fuel injectors which i never removed off the fuel lines would have gasoline pooled up on all of them Quote

I was so relieved with the numbers! But next when its not raining I will have listen to my injectors to confirm they do "click" and then make sure the voltage is being properly supplied to them. IF they are okay i'll get them cleaned. If not, I finally found a 95 monte z34 at my JY so ill just tear it down and get the injectors from that! Quote

Galaxie500XL Posted April 29, 2013 Report Posted April 29, 2013 I always put a small dab on the contact points on the back of the coils before installing them, but freely admit I've never read where it's necessary, or even desirable... Quote
