Reride
Hey there everyone, I'm getting ready to install the DIS from a'90 CS in my '92 CS vert. I would like to test it to make sure it works. How would I do that? I've searched and couldn't find a procedure on how to do it. alec_b
Test it outside the car? About all you can do is supply 12v and ground to it and see if it turns on. That's how I tested my digital cluster before installing it. The only way you'll be able to do that is if you have the pigtail for the DIC. If you do, here's the wire colors you need: 8 pin harness: Orange, pin "A" - 12v + Pink/Black, pin "B" - 12v + Black/White, pin "E" - Ground Black, pin "H" - Ground 4 pin harness: Black, pin "D" - Ground Just wire all 3 grounds together and both powers together, and the unit should fire up. You won't be able to test back lighting or the fuel functions however, possibly not the date either.
