Sedan door handle what breaks

I have 95 Sedan. All of a sudden both front doors will not open from the outside. How irritating. What have you seen that typically goes bad in these? A clip or should i be looking for door handles? My wife and I are going down to st. louis this weeken and would rather not have to go through back doors every stop.

Do they feel like there's no resistance when you move the handle? If yes, then the handle is most likely broken

where it pushes on the rod attached to the latch.

If there is resistance, you'll have a latch/adjustment issue, or the lock isn't releasing completely.

It does feel to have some resistance, not like they are free willy. How do you adjust these? inside the door?

The rod that runs from the handle to the latch has some adjustment where it connects at the latch. Remove door panel

for access. It's a threaded rod snapped into a plastic retainer. You'll have to disconnect the rod from retainer and reset

into a higher position in the retainer.
