Nicutlass_Supremacy
Hi, Is there a way to install a 5 way speaker with a Delco stereo. I found that the original speakers had 2 conections, one for the bass (of 4ohms) and the other for treble (10ohm). The thing is, can I connect the 2 ports to the only one of the 5 way speaker or do I have to make something to get it working? I connect the 4ohm and I only get the bass. Thanks!!! RPE1992GPSE
I'd connect the "10 ohm" wires to the new speaker. The radio's entire bandpass is on that channel which should come directly from the head unit. You will lose the added bass channel if you go that route. There is another possible workaround. Is it possible for you to photograph the new speaker's wiring and post it here?
Nicutlass_Supremacy
I'll take the photos and post them here. If it helps, the speaker it's a pioneer tsa 6994 600w 5 way. Thanks again!!
RPE1992GPSE
Photos are not necessary. I was able to find some on the web. Unfortunately, I do not see a feasible workaround with these particular speakers.
