JTalley
Found this. http://www.ebay.com/itm/T3-T4-Hybrid-Turbocharger-Kit-T3-T4-Turbo-3an-oil-feed-Downpipe-BOV-Stage-1-/271103629776?_trksid=p5197.m1992&_trkparms=aid%3D111000%26algo%3DREC.CURRENT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D14%26meid%3D4972715739069648393%26pid%3D100015%26prg%3D1006%26rk%3D1%26sd%3D271103629776%26 Is this legitimate or would I be getting ripped off? RobertISaar
find a turbo that actually has specifications.... that's just mentioned as a T3/T4 hybrid, which isn't bad for a 60V6, but WHICH T3 and WHICH T4 are they? what engine are you looking to boost? alec_b
After a quick google search, it appears that these chinese turbo's aren't worth the crappy metal they're made of. Countless threads out there about guys using these and having them disintegrate within a few hundred miles.
RobertISaar
depends. some have run them for up to 80,000 HARD miles and still haven't killed them.... results may vary, especially if you attach something WAY over or WAY undersized for the engine... surge on one side, choke on the other, neither is a good situation to be in. white4d96
The thing with eBay turbos is you need to put oil restrictors in or you'll blow the seals out. They're REAL finicky about oil pressure. Honestly though I would not cheap out on turbines. If that fails you could get metal bits going through your engine, and we all know how good that is... JTalley
Thanks for the advice. I've been doing simple repairs for a while now, but I'm a complete noob when it comes to tuning. Plus, I've never worked on anything with a turbo. Before today I didn't even know how they worked.
