Night Fury
I'd prefer 3500 obviously, but will gladly do 3400 if it's much easier. What all is involved? 88 GP 5-speed.... It'll be OBD 1 I'm assuming.....
19Cutlass94
Its a little more work than swapping from a 3100, but can be done. Youll keep your OBDI, and just get a custom tune to account for the motor differences to make it run correctly. 3500 will require extra stuff like external crank trigger, new TB, among other things. 3400 is easier IMHO, and you always could put a cam in the 3400 to make it just as powerful as the 3500, if not more ( depending on what cam you choose ) Everything will physically bolt up, just a matter of the small details, like EGR, heater hoses etc etc. Some aspects of the harness are different, which will require looking further into. Night Fury
Interesting. I'd be very happy with a 3400. I think it'd be easiest to just source a wrecked 3400 impala or something, that way I can get like everything. Radiator/condenser/fans, A/C setup since mine is totally fucked, exhaust........ RobertISaar
W-body 3400 will require the least amount of little tweaks/discoveries.... assuming the 3100 in the MC ever dies and it still hasn't folded in half, i'm planning on grabbing a 3400 from an impala/MC. intern8tion9l
I'd sell you every piece you need to turbo that 2.8 if you weren't so far away
Disbass69
I'll sell you a whole 3.1 turbo, and I'm not far away Sent from my microwave using Tapatalk

Night Fury
Tempting, but for nearly the same price/hassle, I get nearly the same power in a less maintenance-bitch package, and likely with considerably better mileage. Night Fury
Unless you're wanting to sell that whole 3.1 get up for like $
Garrett Powered
3400 is way less fun than LG5 would be.
19Cutlass94
3400 is way less fun than LG5 would be. Turbo 3400.
pshojo
Can the turbo set up fit on the 3500?
RobertISaar
JonPro had proof of why you don't put TGP stuff on a 3500....
19Cutlass94
Turbo headers or bust. Sent from my iPhone in some random spot of Texas.
intern8tion9l
I dunno man, the turbo swap is pretty easy if you get all the parts at once and has equal or better mileage than the 2.
Night Fury
Don't get me wrong, It's a sweet idea. That would just mean I'd need to dump a couple hundred into this 2.8 with 265k miles to check compression, new belt tensioner, water pump, track down my INTERMITTENT vacuum leak, find out why I'm getting 15 fucking mpg..... I dunno. What kind of power would that even net me.... like 160?
intern8tion9l
205 in stock form. Easily increased(but not to like 300 or anything)
Night Fury
The 2.8???
intern8tion9l
No the lg5 swap, disbass said he has the whoe thing. Just putting the turbo parts on the 2.8? My educated guess would be 190ish
