project 92z
[h=2]Sooo confused!!![/h] Ok, here's my new issue. My coolant low dummy light has been on now for a bit. It started a few months ago and after checking, I found a small leak at the plenum hose. Having never done anything there before you could imagine my surprise to find that the fitting had been boken off and JB welded back into place. I fixed that but still had that light staring at me. It would go off after driving for a while but would come right back after turning off the car. I tried "burping" the car and removing and flushing the resovoir. No change. well the light stopped going off and the coolant level is unchanged. I read somewhere that it could be a sign of a intake gasket failing if the coolant level is changing, oil level keeps dropping and you get certain error codes. My oil is dropping, the only error code I get is EGR circuit, and there is no sign of coolant burning or mixing in the oil.
GOT2B GM
The low coolant level switch is on the passenger side end tank of the rad. Sometimes the sensor goes bad, or an air bubble gets trapped at the sensor port causing the light to come on.

rich_e777
also build up can get in the sensor so take it off and clean it out real good and check the wiring. Is it possible for the sensor to go bad and not throw a code?
