JTalley
My Lumina used to leave black puddles in my driveway overnight. I constantly checked the fluids, but nothing ever got lower. Then it stopped leaving puddles. Today I was under the car, and the entire area around the engine and trans is just drenched with black fluid, but still, nothing is low. I haven't had to add fluid in weeks, and I drive it every day. Since everything is covered with it, I can't find where it's coming from. What could it be? RobertISaar
hydraulic engine mount. been there, done that. feel around near the balancer/crank pulley and you'll find the culprit.
Night Fury
Probably it's soul. Check trans fluid too? Really doesn't take much to make a huge mess. My 88 leaks oil from the drain plug. Hardly enough to spot where I park, definitely not enough to really change the level over a 5000 mile change, but boy is it messy under there. rich_e777
get a pressure washer in there real good after you spray everything down with a degreaser. Makes finding leaks alot easier, and you wont hurt anything as long as everything is connected or has its cap on.
19Cutlass94
I would think it it was the hydrualic mount, you'd hear some weird clunks and whatnot going on. But what area of the engine trans? Top, bottom, front, back?
