95gtpFrausto
I will run my 1995 pontiac grand prix special edition for a good 45 mins (just to work and back) and once put into park the car will turn off. It will restart if i turn it back on and it will run fine... Any thoughts? I need help and I don't want to go to a mechanic I'm tired of everyone else doing things for me as I can go and do it myself. Thanks! rich_e777
Look into the neutral/park switch, personally havnt had an issue with it yet but if your car runs and idles ok but just dies when you shift it into park, thats what i would look at first. If it runs like shit and idles rough before it dies you need a tune up before a diagnosis.
94 olds vert
Sounds like your car developed a cool new feature.
RPE1992GPSE
Wouldn't a faulty PNP switch only prevent the car from starting, as opposed to killing the ignition? Check your transmission fluid level and condition. It could be torque converter related.
95gtpFrausto
No doubt, I will do that tonight for sure! I heard from another buddy of mine that it could be the pick up coil? Hey 94olds vert, I don't like this new feature haha!! I was even thinking the IAC valve or even the EGR? So thats what I heard so far... Thanks to everyone I really do appreciate it!
