midnight specialist
so i heard that i could use an l67 bock and internials with a l36 heads and a series III intake and throw a turbo to all this and make some serious power. is this true or am i being messed with? DefEddie
It'll work perfectly fine. the compression differences between the two are due to pistons. The heads are the exact same with the exception of the fuel injector bosses. On L36 injectors are in the intake,L67 are in the head. Right now I am finishing up the opposite build,an L67 topend on an L36 bottom end. This keeps the L36 compression which is 9.5:1 iirc. You want the L67 bottom end for the lower compression so you can run more boost. You want the L36 heads and intake so you can have injector in the intake and a conventional upper intake so you can easily just run the intake piping to it. GtpKo
Serious power indeed. L67 bottom ends are said to be good to near 800HP range stock. Avoid knock at all costs however.
