Slade901 Posted November 3, 2003 Report Share Posted November 3, 2003 Also check the fuses/relay inside the car. Usually they are located under the glove box, etc. It might not be any fuses. If the battery is completely drained. Just jumping the car would not start the car at all. Leave the car running (the one that's doing the jumping) and leave all the jumper cables connected for 15 or 30 minutes. Positive cable is connected to the positive terminals on the both battery. The negative cable is connected on the negative battery terminal on the car that is doing the jumping. The other negative cable end is connected to the ground metal (engine block) on the car that is being jumped. BTW, . Check to make sure that the positive cable on the car being jumped is connected properly and tight on the battery terminal and if your car has one, check also the for remote connector (positive) for tighteness (its usually located near the fuel pump relay/fuse).
