Lowerd1 Posted November 24, 2012 Report Posted November 24, 2012 I got some cracks in my dash now after a wreck where a Deer came in the car with me some and the guy that replaced my glass being an idiot. I was thinking about going with a Dash Cover like the Carpet one, but wanted to see how far they cover first. Anybody done this, or have a pic of one on our cars? This is for a 95 Grand Prix GTP. Thank you Quote
EviLette Posted November 25, 2012 Report Posted November 25, 2012 You can have them custom made to where they overlay the round part below the main top of the dash with openings for the vents. I've always thought dash covers looked tacky, though. Yours is new enough, see if you can't find a nice dash at a j/y and swap them out. IMHO of course. Quote
Lowerd1 Posted November 25, 2012 Author Report Posted November 25, 2012 I want to just replace the dash, but there are only 2 in the yards locally and one is a 88-93 and the other is a 96 that is picked clean. Do you have to remove the passenger airbag to remove the dash part that is in the front on top? The piece that is closer to the passengers, not the part closer to the engine bay. Quote
intern8tion9l Posted November 25, 2012 Report Posted November 25, 2012 I think the new dash pad would be 1000x better, even if you have to wait a while. Would prob even end up being cheaper than one of those carpet things Quote
Lowerd1 Posted November 26, 2012 Author Report Posted November 26, 2012 Going to the yard this week. Hopefully I can a dash cover there. Quote
