ok my car started making a loud ticking tonight its been making a really quite one for a while now but only between 1000-1500 rpm tonight it started at higher rpms it seemed toto start after a 30mile drive. im hoping its just a exhaust leak but im having trouble pinpointing it. the car is full of oil i check and in the video you can even hear lifter tick along with the noise. im sorry about the quality hope you can hear it well enough to help

thanks jake

I can't hear it in the video with my speakers, but have you replaced the supercharger coupler? I know when they go bad, they make a good amount of racket.

well finally was able to get my mom to help me tonight by having her rev the car while i got under it i wasn't able to pin point it exactly but the noise was much louder under the car and it sounded like it was coming from the downpipe area. and now that i think back i hit the bottom of the car pretty hard on a rail pulling into the carwash the other day

Well a little update on this. I'm still not sure what it is. I took it to exhaust shop and they said they didn't see any leaks. So i took it to general maintenance shop and they listened over everything with a stethoscope, and i was told that no abnormal noises were coming from the valve train, and all he could find was a bad pulley and a loose tensioner, but they were grinding not ticking. Then i had my friend look over it, and he didn't think it was a exhaust leak or internal either, and though i should start checking accessory, or just wait till it got worse and easier to find.

Bump still can't pinpoint this noise. Replaced all bad pullies, checked multiple times for exhaust leaks isn't getting worse or better. It's hardly noticeable with load on the engine but when you rev it up you can hear it. It seems to be a bit more consistent now it starts at 2k rpm and seems to speed up with the motor. Now that all the othe noises are taking care of and after changing the oil it seems to be coming from the front valve cover. Thinking it may be a sticky lifter but the whole having to drive the car at highway speeds for nearly 30miles to get it to start makeing noise still seems weird

Did you happen to try to tighten the bolts where the exhaust meets the rear header? My dads old jeep would do this sometimes and all it really needed was a quick tighten of the bolts. It might only need an 1/8 turn to get tight.

Agreed with runt. Check all the bolts. Don't overtighten, but make sure they are properly torqued. If you think you have a sticking lifter, try adding some marvel mystery oil to your oil. I have seen it help free up sticking lifters.
