GPdriver1986
My friend has a 1991 chevy Corsica (3.1 MPFI V6) and the cooling fan has quit working. I told him to check to see if its working by unpluging it and connecting it to the battery : it works. So then I told him to unplug the CTS sensor , so he did that and he said the fan turned on, so he replaced the CTS sensor and still the fan does not want to turn on. Anybody had this problem? GPdriver1986
well if the fan is turning on when the CTS is unplugged then isn't the cooling fan switch still good?
Rob95CS
Does his engine actually get hot enough to NEED the fan? IMO, the 220* needed to enable the fan is rediculously hot and I've NEVER seen my engine get that hot. If the fans do work, just splice into the wires and run a switch into the cab of the car. Then just turn the fans on when you're driving the car. Here's ONE way to do it: http://www.w-body.com/upgrades/manualfancontrol.html I prefer to splice directly into the wires.
