How to separate the 284 from the block?

hi all; despite the name (because I have 4) I haven't had to separate a manual 284 from a block yet but now need to do it. I have tried different searches on how-to and don't see anything. If there is a link or thread etc could someone pls point me to it?

If there is some simple thing (I peered inside the inspection hole and nothing was obvious) LMK: pix, as always are worth a thousand words.

Thanks in advance; want to get this block up on the stand and start work!

Just pull the slave cylinder off the trans, then pull the throwout fork up. presto.

Yep, what he said. You're pulling the fork free from the throw out bearing so that the entire clutch assembly can stay bolted to the flywheel.

Don't forget to first remove black the flywheel inspection cover underneath. Use a pair of vise grips to hold the fork up out of the way so it doesn't hang up on the t/o bearing.
