But if I had to guess, bolt torque numbers aren't to spec, or there's something behind one part of it or something. Chunk of gasket? pebble? boulder? RobertISaar Posted November 9, 2012 Report Share Posted November 9, 2012 if it's cracking near the pulley, there must be some type of excessive pressure being put on it. overtight belt misaligned pulley(s) or the location where it's bolting to is an uneven surface, causing misalignment.
