88Intl Posted November 1, 2002 Report Posted November 1, 2002 Looking for an inexpensive remote starter. Put a Designtech Auto-Command in a Cavalier several years ago, and it has been reliable. http://www.designtech-intl.com/ If it doesn't cost much more, would like to get alarm, ignition disable, door lock and trunk release features too for my CS. Any recommendations? Quote

92Cutlass4Dr Posted November 2, 2002 Report Posted November 2, 2002 Take a look at Astrostart. They make a lot of different models, some with security features and some without. Quote
88Intl Posted November 3, 2002 Author Report Posted November 3, 2002 Installed another DesignTech, the Ready Start 24727. Works great! Also triggers headlights, power door locks, trunk release from remote control. Quote
Justin Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 I install AstroStarts, that is all we ever sell at our dealership. The nice thing about them is that you can add an alarm system later, just plugs into the main module. It comes factory with locks, trunk, auto-start when cold,(you can set it to automatically start the car when the temp drops below a temperature), and tons of options and programmable outputs. Anything electrical in your car can be controlled by it. Quote
