Addicted To Boost
Has anyone swapped a 282 into a third gen GP? My 4T65 is becoming more and more failbus as time goes on and I haz a complete 282 swap sitting in my garage, so curiousity ensues... If this has been done, what all modifications need to be done to make this work? It would be nice to not have to get custom axles and junk. 19Cutlass94
I wouldnt wanna try it. Youll need to modify the dash fairly heavily to make it work. Even though your 282 has a pedal box and isnt mounted like the 284 clutch pedal is, and youll still need to modify the shifter on the 282 or on the car to make that work. Everything in the engine compartment wise shouldnt be that bad. Youll need a custom intermid. shaft bracket, not sure if those cradles have holes that will accept the 282 mount. pshojo
If you want manual set up, there is a guy selling F40 with custom axles, modded mounts/aluminum cradle. Looking at about 2000, but its the whole set up,.

It would take very little work to finish it.
