ron350
The plastic part of the oil dipstick broke on my 96 Regal with the 3800 series 2 motor. This is the second time the yellow plastic part that fits in the oil tube has broken so its time to replace. Does Dorman sell a replacement for the plastic part of the dip stick or will I have to buy a new dip stick at the dealership?

ron350
Thanks for the help I will try the junk yard first then the dealer. I bet the dealer wants about $20. for one.
Crazy K
the L67 in my GP had the same issue. i got one with a different handle from the junkyard. verify it is the same length and you should be good to go.
rich_e777
I wouldnt even think about calling a dealer unless you are too far from a scrapyard, i know they dont really differ between the 3100 and 3800 should be plentiful regardless of series they should all fit.
