THe_DeTAiL3R Posted November 2, 2003 Report Posted November 2, 2003 I'm in the process of removing the air conditioner system out of my GP. It hasn't worked since I got the car so I figure it would cost a fortune to fix it, might as well tear it out. So far I've disconnected the main lines that connect to the can thing below/beside the battery and removed it. I'm gonna work on removing the bracket that holds that can thing tomorrow, and go from there. I'm not really sure what I'm doing, but I am being cautious of coolant lines and such, and I plan on taking off the compressor and putting a smaller surpentine belt if I can. Anything I should know about with the A/C lines and stuff so that I don't screw up my car? Anyone else taken the A/C out of their car? Thanks Dave Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted November 2, 2003 Report Posted November 2, 2003 Just rip it out. If the fins are straight in your condensor, I would leave it in. Helps protect the radiator from rocks, etc. Quote
