boostedpontiac
I would like to switch my TGP to vacuum brakes because of the hard to find PMIII units. I did find a spare at a junkyard for $10, but i would rather have vacuum brakes. I need to buy the firewall plate, brake booster, and master cylinder right? Am i missing anything? Before i forget, How do i fix the check gauge/ gauge cluster not working problem?
Night Fury
As for the gauge cluster, there are a few points in it that likely need re soldered. There should be a write-up on it somewhere
EMNCFI
If you can't find the check gauges thing, basically, take out your gauge cluster, on the back of the right side of the cluster (side towards passengers side) there are like 8 or 10 soldered points, 4 above 4 or 5 above 5 something like that. On mine I just tapped a little more solder on each of those points and the check gauges and low fuel light have worked properly for 6 years now. GOT2B GM
A complete set of rear brake lines (PM3 uses a common rear brake line that splits at the proportioning valve, vacuum brakes uses a traditional 4 line system)
intern8tion9l
Does one need the lines all the way to the flexible hoses, or just back to where the lines meet near the fuel filter?
