94 olds vert
I know what causes the low fuel light and check guage light to be on constantly. There are 15 pins in the back of the cluster that need to be resoldered. As for the fuel smell when using the heated I haven't a clue. 94 olds vert
http://www.w-body.com/oldsite/service/checkgauges.html That is a good link to repair the cluster once you get it out. In this car you will need to remove the dash pad to get the cluster out. It's not that big of a deal to do so. There is only a couple bolts that hold it down and the rest is clipped in. If your car has a HUD(heads up display) you will need to remove that first before the dash pad comes off.
RobertISaar
FWIW, i haven't used the screws for the dash in a long time with no issues, so once they're out, it's probably pretty safe to just not use the again.
