Turbocharging a 3800 series 1 in a 94 Regal GS?

Has anyone turbocharged a 3800 series 1 (L27)? If so what size turbo, fuel injectors, fuel pump, performance chip or anything else that i might be forgetting? Im not new to 3.8 turbos. I own a 84 T-Type that I built and has over 400 horsepower. I can figure it out for myself but, I might as well ask someone that has done it because it will make it more cost effective than making to many errors. Also how much horsepower and torque can the transmission hold before you get to close to the breaking point?

Thanks in advance,

John

i think a T61 is a bit big of a compressor for a L27... probably run into surge quite easily.

Andrei(xtremerevolution) played around with his L27 for a little while with good results, i'm not sure what all he did though.

I was thinking of running a stock Grand National turbo and set it to 7 to 10psi with the proper fuel upgrades to match. Im not sure how much the plastic upper intake manifold will hold but if I go ahead and do this it might be more of a trial and error type build. Whatever I do I will post it up for everyone to see. Thanks for the input and if anyone has anymore ideas please post on.

that kit is for 2nd gens with the series II 3.8.

I know Andrei installed higher ratio roller rockers, not sure what else he did.

I wouldnt worry about the plastic intake plenum. Plenty of L36 out there are turbo'd without issue there.
