base93lumina
So i think my trans in my 00 GTP is starting to die. I was going to be doing a 5spd swap but that fell thru due to the donor having a busted trans casing. I need know where you guys recommend where to get a new unit from? I have plans of doing more upgrades to the motor and need something is going to hold up. So, whos my best choice? ZZP? Intense? I need input so i know what im saving for. Thanks! rlj4214
Morad is a great place to start http://www.moradpartscompany.com/ Ed Morad is way cool has a clue and has great people working with him. All are knowledgeable and very helpful. I would highly recommend them for a salvage transmission. If you are going to rebuild, I would suggest Triple Edge Performance http://www.tripleedgeperformance.com/ The come to me highly recommended by people that I trust. As far as something that you don't have to ship and local to you, I have no clue. If you don't want to pull yours and ship it first and you want a performance build, Get Ed to ship a core to Triple Edge. You should probably pick up axles also. Just a thought. Hope that helps some. Tell them Ronnie sent you, of course they will look at you and say, Who???? Edited September 16, 2012 by rlj4214 My inability to put a complete thought together. Euro
Triple Edge for sure, or give Tim King an email. He used to work for Intense, but I guess is out of that and doing his own thing. Here's a link to our local board here in IL with what he posted http://www.thechicagogarage.com/forum/3800-discussion/50299-transmission-sale.html
