AWeb80 Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 I have two rear buckets I got from Al many years ago that need refinished. Where can I get grey cloth that would match? Anyone ever tried? Here are the only pics I know I have of the interior seats. Where can I get cloth to match? Quote
Garrett Powered Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 it could be expensive. try the yellow pages auto upholstery. or junk yard? Quote
alec_b Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 It's probably impossible to find matching cloth. You might be able to get close, but unless you do ALL the seats in the car, it won't match. Better bet is to go to a fabric store and find something you like. I did it in my '91 when I needed the arm rest recovered. Went to Jo-Ann, found some really nice (and expensive) synthetic suede that was almost exactly the same color, and had my aunt sew up a new cover using what was left of the original. Looked 100x better than anything that came out of the factory. Quote
AWeb80 Posted September 11, 2012 Author Report Posted September 11, 2012 I have a guy to do it. Won't necessarily be cheap, but will look good. I want to help him find the right fabric. Quote
Crazy K Posted September 12, 2012 Report Posted September 12, 2012 probably a better idea would be to find matching seats in good condition and transfer/re-work the fabric onto those seats... Quote
AL Posted September 13, 2012 Report Posted September 13, 2012 I agree with Ken, I am sure you can find nice seats at a yard to steal the fabric off of Quote
Night Fury Posted September 13, 2012 Report Posted September 13, 2012 I have totally flawless rear buckets in the 88 in that color, but the fabric itself changed a little bit between 88 and 94... if all works well and I get these leather aq9s you can buy em cheap Quote
Night Fury Posted September 13, 2012 Report Posted September 13, 2012 Does that mean you're interested? Quote
Night Fury Posted September 13, 2012 Report Posted September 13, 2012 I take that as a yes? Dually noted! Quote
AL Posted September 13, 2012 Report Posted September 13, 2012 Buck, he has the rear buckets from the 89, doesn't the 88 and 89 have the same interior? Quote
Penglii Posted September 13, 2012 Report Posted September 13, 2012 yes, 88 and 89 got the same interior. It was changed ever so slightly for 90. Quote
