Penglii
Ordered a DEA-A2660 Solid Motor Mount for the TGP. The following is what I recieved. Can anyone tell me why the studs that go into the subframe mount cup are in the wrong spots? Will this still work somehow?

Penglii
For Captain Obvious style reference... here is what a 3.1 motor mount is supposed to look like. Edited August 24, 2012 by Penglii

Penglii
damn Nick, i think you got burned again. This has become apparent... and it really grinds my gears. I guess I'll have to try NAPA, it's pretty much my last chance unless I'm dumb enough to give Anchor or DEA another chance to provide me the wrong product. I was out the money on the other wrong one I got, since I actually used it... but this time I might be able to get a refund at least. Although I really hate the PITA of returning things. Part of me wants to try to install it and see if by some strange chance the designer of this product decided that they would locate the lower studs to fit through the 2 random holes in the bottom of the engine cradle's mount cup. I almost remember them being offset strangely just like they are on the mystery mount I recieved. However that is most likely just wishful thinking... I'm not sure I really want to go through the hassle of finding out. Nevertheless, I cannot figure out what the mount I recieved *actually* is. As much as it looks like a trans mount, direct comparison indicates otherwise... it's too big and the lower studs are wrong. Actually it looks exactly like a motor mount should look, just with a completely incorrect stud setup. Here are some more pics. The mystery mount, my old worn out trans mount, and my old blown hydraulic motor mount.
Penglii
OK... I solved the mystery. Without a doubt I got burned again. Worse this time because this mount is not even close to the part number that the box was labeled for. http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php?catalog=60&partnum=A2548 Turns out the mount I got this time is actually a DEA A2548... which would be the correct mount for a 3.1 going into any of the following vehicles:

BUICK CENTURY (1985 - 1996)

BUICK SKYLARK 1985

CHEVROLET CELEBRITY (1985 - 1990)

CHEVROLET CITATION II 1985

CHEVROLET LUMINA APV (1990 - 1996)

OLDSMOBILE CUTLASS CIERA (1985 - 1996)

OLDSMOBILE CUTLASS CRUISER (1987 - 1990)

OLDSMOBILE SILHOUETTE (1990 - 1996)

PONTIAC 6000 (1985 - 1991)

PONTIAC FIERO (1986 - 1988)

PONTIAC TRANS SPORT (1990 - 1996)

19Cutlass94
Ive had issues with rockauto before. Correct part numbers, but wrong parts in the box.
Penglii
This one I ordered from PickProParts through Amazon.com because it was a cheaper price after shipping. Although I'm sure it could have happened even if I got it through RockAuto, it's hard to know where along the line the box and product got mixed up. I contacted the company and they are going to get me a return label, so I am at least going to get a refund this time. I'm not sure yet if I'll have to pay the return shipping, I hope I don't since it was not my fault. I'd rather they send me a correct mount, but I guess the one they sent me was the last one they had in stock. I'm not sure where I should try to order from next... at this point I'm less worried about getting a good price than I am about finally receiving a solid motor mount for the TGP. I think I'll give either NAPA or RockAuto my business this time around... third time is the charm, right? I cannot believe this has become such an ordeal. Ugh. Penglii
I guess I'm just glad that when I finally do get a solid mount, that I will never have to replace it again.
1979lee
I guess I'm just glad that when I finally do get a solid mount, that I will never have to replace it again. i had my original hydrolic mount replaced in 2008, with that anchor brand hyd mnt, well 2 years later in 2010, it failed, then i went with the full on rubber mount, anchor again. not its late 2012 and it has started to fail....... these mounts are sure poor quailty.... White93z34
the engine mount is a rubber mount filled with hydraulic fluid to dampen the powertrain. any fluid filled mount I replace with a solid one.
