titan23 Posted August 20, 2012 Report Posted August 20, 2012 I have a 93 Cutty Vert 3.4 X, where is the starter located ? Quote
Psych0matt Posted August 20, 2012 Report Posted August 20, 2012 underneath, basically below the exhaust manifold. If you can drive up on ramps you should be able to see it pretty easily Quote

Pabz Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012 (edited) I simply cannot find it, this is driving me nuts !!!! I dont have a 3.4L, but it should be near where the tranny and engine meet up, it drives the flywheel, so it needs to be mounted on the bottom usually near the front , but the 3.4L could be in the back. I think this is a pic of a LQ1 bolted to a 5-speed. but you can see where the tranny bolts up. Edited August 29, 2012 by Pabz Quote
l2bengtrek Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012 ..Not for sure on the 3.4...but on my '94 Vert with a 3.1, its right in front as you open the hood..towards bottom of engine.. Quote
White92Cutlass Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012 Follow your battery cable to it Quote
George Posted August 30, 2012 Report Posted August 30, 2012 When you find it, upgrade to the 3400 hi torque mini starter. Direct bolt in. Very nice Quote
