Starter location

I have a 93 Cutty Vert 3.4 X, where is the starter located ?

underneath, basically below the exhaust manifold. If you can drive up on ramps you should be able to see it pretty easily

I simply cannot find it, this is driving me nuts !!!!

I dont have a 3.4L, but it should be near where the tranny and engine meet up, it drives the flywheel, so it needs to be mounted on the bottom usually near the front , but the 3.4L could be in the back.

 

I think this is a pic of a LQ1 bolted to a 5-speed. but you can see where the tranny bolts up.

..Not for sure on the 3.4...but on my '94 Vert with a 3.1, its right in front as you open the hood..towards bottom of engine..

When you find it, upgrade to the 3400 hi torque mini starter. Direct bolt in. Very nice
